European Studies Course and Internship

Irish College Leuven in partnership with the Institute of Public Administration (Ireland) delivers an accredited three-month programme for US Students who want to gain knowledge and experience in European Studies. The programme includes an internship at the European Parliament, Brussels. Students stay with Irish College Leuven and undertake an academic programme with the support of KU Leuven covering European topics in the history and development of the European Union, European Union Law, Economics of European Integration, Comparative European Politics and European Culture. The programme is further enhanced with the opportunity to work with the European Parliament and gain first-hand experience working in one of the world's leading democratic institutions.

Secondary School’s European Programme

Irish College Leuven provides schools with unique study visits to the heart of Europe. Aimed at second-level students, programmes are tailored to focus on the interest of the school and the students. There are opportunities to organise programmes around STEM subjects, politics, history, art and music or other areas that will engage students in the European project. During their programme groups will get to stay at the historic Irish College in Leuven, explore the university town of Leuven, undertake day trips to cities and countries in North West Europe and delve deep into their subject areas of interest.

Choir and Orchestra European Programme

Irish College Leuven promotes culture at its historic campus, bespoke programmes for choirs and orchestras are arranged throughout the year. Groups have the opportunity to perform in the Grand Auditorium of the College and at other historic locations in Belgium. The organising and logistics for the concerts are all taken care of by the team at Irish College Leuven ensuring that performers can enjoy the City of Leuven and the experience of performing in such a special place.
